Mr Philip Osei-Hwere, Co-founder and Director of EMH Global, says the agency is poised to draw on it expertise and experience gained internationally to tell the stories of Ghana and its businesses.
Speaking at the re-launch of EMH Global Ghana, a Ghanaian Integrated Communications Agency that started in London-UK, He said it was important for indigenes to tell their own stories, such as in the area of tourism.
He noted that while there were websites that showed tourist destinations in Ghana, such as Trip Advisor, the stories were told by outsiders hence EMH’s quest to tell the stories from the perspective of indigenes with international experience.
“We have a project we are waiting to launch called the ‘Ghana Tourism Travel Guide’, an online website that will focus purely on tourist destinations in Ghana,” he said, adding EMH Global will complement the efforts of bigger agencies in Ghana to brand Ghana.
He noted that the company had so far helped to position Ghana as a friendly country for visitors, through its proposal, development and implementation of the Electronic Consular Management System (eCIMS) at Ghana’s mission in London, and subsequently, Ghana missions in the USA, Italy, France and Spain.
The company, which was started in London in 2004, now has offices in Accra-Ghana, Kochi-India and New York-USA.The Ghana office, opened in 2008 had so far focused on clients it had worked with from London but was ready with the re-launch to broaden its client base.
He noted that while most Ghanaian businesses were doing well, they either did not have stories or their stories were not being heard.EMH Global Ghana’s focus was thus to make those stories heard, using the experience it had gained from its international operations.
Mr Mark Robinson, Director of EMH Global, said the time was right for the re-launch as EMH Global Communications Agency, was perfectly positioned to work in communications world as it is today.
He said the rebrand was part of efforts to take the company to the next level, and was meant to reflect the international as well as the Ghanaian aspects of the company and attract more clients looking to add diversity to their business.
