FCI – Web Development

The Client

Freedom Centre international otherwise known as FCI is a church based registered charity in the United Kingdom, the organisation was founded in 1997 with the  mission to raise overcomers and set captives free. Over the years the church has experienced a tremendous growth in its membership. To meet the demand of its members it has established branch churches across the world in UK, Spain, Switzerland, USA and Ghana. In the last 10years FCI has become one of the fastest and influential black led churches in the UK with an asset portfolio in excess of £7million.

The challenge

As an organisation that generates all its revenue through membership donations. It was faced with the challenge of increasing its members and encouraging both existing and new members to support the organisation financially. In 2007, FCI put out a tender seeking to engage an integrated marketing communications and technology agency that has in-depth understanding of diversity and ethnic community within and outside the UK to assist with their communications and technology needs. Their objective was to position FCI as a family church that embraced all, understands and respects diversity.

Our solution

EMH Global won the competitive bid to deliver this service for FCI based on its strong understanding of diversity and the ethnic market.   After a number of meetings and consultations, EMH proposed to FCI a range of communication services aimed at positioning them boldly as the worship place of choice for any religious person seeking a church that will take care of the needs of every member of their family.

The Design and development of an interactive and user friendly website was one of the items EMH proposed and delivered after a detailed study of FCI to know their target audience and how to reach them

The outcome

The FCI website was launched on time and within agreed budget. The website has helped draw attention to the church and this has positively affected FCI’s membership The live streaming section of the website has also helped members to get more actively involved with the church and increased guest turnout to events. The online donation link has become a new and growing source of revenue.
