The Client

Freedom Centre International also known as FCI, was founded in 1997 as a church-based charity organisation in London. The church mandate is to raise overcomers and set the captives free. FCI currently has churches in the UK, Spain, Switzerland, USA, and Ghana. In the last 10 years, FCI has become one of the fastest and influential black-led churches in the UK with an asset portfolio in excess of £7million.

The Challenge

As an organisation that generates all its revenue through membership donations, FCI was faced with the challenge of increasing its members and encouraging both existing and new members to support the organisation financially. In 2007, FCI sought an integrated digital creative agency that had an in-depth understanding of diversity and ethnic communities within and outside the UK to assist with their communications and technology needs. Their objective was to position FCI as a family church that endorsed diversity and welcomed all.

The Solution

Eagle London Agency won the competitive bid to deliver this service for FCI based on its strong understanding of the ethnic market.  After a number of consultations, Eagle proposed to design and develop an interactive and user-friendly website. This website would position FCI as the place of worship for people seeking a church with a strong devoted to its members.

The Outcome 

The FCI website was launched on time and within the agreed budget. The website has increased attention to the church and thus increased FCI’s membership. The live streaming section of the website has also helped members to get more actively involved with the church and increased guest turnout to events. The online donation link has become a new and growing source of revenue.
