The Volta River Authority was established on April 26, 1961 under the Volta River Development Act. They generate and supply electricity for Ghana's needs. It is also responsible for managing the environmental impact of the creation of the Volta Lake on the towns and people bordering the lake.
The ChallengeAs the Volta river authority was approaching their 50th anniversary. EMH where given the challenge of creating a communications video to capsulate their 50 years of supplying electricity to Ghana’s needs.
Our solution was to We produced a video documentary which gave an oral history on the construction of Akosmbo Dam one the largest manmade lake in world and used the Dam to profile the work of Volta River Authority. The services we offered were: Photography – We sent out our skilled team of photographers that have had may years within the industry to capture stills of the Volta lake and the natures surrounding Film production – Our Film production team, where sent to capture the footage of the documentary Editing- We took the footage back to base and comprised the video to make a pleasurable and entertaining viewing experience.
The video production has received overwhelming response VRA is using it as their main communications video. Video have allowed the clients and stakeholders of VRA to understand the History and culture of organisation
